Polling In Campaigns
A poll is a type of survey or inquiry into public opinion conducted by interviewing a random sample of people. A random sample is the result of a process whereby a selection of participants is made from a larger population and each subject is chosen entirely by chance.
Voting and polling may seem like the same thing, but they are not. In fact, they are the two sides to the election or decision process. Voting is the act of expressing opinion, and polling is the process of collecting that opinion.
